It's cheap, and I don't find it any harder or slower to remove than if I had velcro straps.

I followed a write up posted here in this forum. It was simple. I bought the fire extinguisher from Home Depot and mounted the bracket directly to the seat frame. It is not in the way and has held up great for the last 4-5 months.

It's a Shrockworks mid-width (the matching rear is on order). PM me if you need more information, because I don't want this thread to go offtopic.

P.S. None of them will affect the air bags. The air bags in newer vehicles don't use sensors in the bumper. The new sensors are based off changes in inertia or something like that.

has anyone had problems with the top being down and people stealing their fire extinguishers? especially if they are only held on by velcro

idiots will steal anything at anytime if they really want it,don't think any other fire extinguisher mount will prevent theft really because of the quick access you need to the extinguisher.

Not yet but when the top is down I'm carefull about where I park...

Not so worried about the fire extinguisher being stolen as I am about some idiot thinking it would be funny to spray my extinguisher all over my Jeep.
