i have been piecing together my lift for my JKR past few months and have some pieces in place.
by the time i have all my components it will be roughly 3.5 lift before sag of heavy bumpers.
consisting of 2.5 coils and a teraflex leveling kit pucks.

ive been looking at shocks from mild to wild and im just trying to find a good compromise of ride, flex, and being able to take the occasional offroad adventure / creek ride. IT IS A DAILY and i drive 50 miles round trip with my duty gear.

4WP suggested the procomp prorunners. thoughts?
couple local buds running the Bilstien 5100 series. thoughts?
and another off road shop suggested the rancho rs9000xl. thoughts?

im trying not to break the bank but still have a good shock for the money.. and all of these can be had from the $275 to $400 range out the door for a set.
some advice would be greatly appreciated.

The adjustability gets you the ride you want.
You have 90 days to decide if you like them, if not return them for a refund.

Really like bilsteins however if your area ever has snow the shock casing can get rust on it because it is not aluminum. I rode those before my fox shocks and they were great and really smooth. Here is an example of what salt will do to them however

also have heard a lot of good things about these shocks and will not have the issues described with the bilsteins

just dont get straight hydro shocks. They are terrible.

4wd.com is good to buy from but they own pro comp so they will always try and sell those first. I say hard to beat Rancho's return policy. You might want to give the RS5000X's a try as well. Save some money and get a great all around shock.

Based on my personal experience, The Bilsteins were an improvement over my BDS hydraulics, and the OME's were an even bigger improvement.

The guess work of what might ride best sucks. For that reason, I am going with the Ranch 9000XL's. They are fully adjustable to achieve the desired firmness you want.

They run a sale in October if you can wait that long. Buy3 get the 4th free.

I thought the 5100's were very stiff. OME long travel shocks give a much better ride for me.

Who's coils? Which spacers? (2.5-3" for the coils? Plus a 2" fr/1" rr leveling kit? Seems that your starting height before bumpers should be 4.5-5", not 3.5?)
