A compressor alone will work.

Whats the purpose of the tank then? faster tire inflation? power tools?

No air up times yet sorry. Maybe I can do that tomorrow. The tank is for quicker air up and to run air tools. An impact will run a lot better with a tank. Airing up will be faster because you have a volume of air to start with.

Curious to see your times.... I am running dual viair 400s with a 2 gallon tank and it takes 8 minutes To go from 13-30. I am also using woods 4 at a time set up which I think saves at least a few minutes.... test it out and let us know... I've heard the arb compressors are faster than the viair!!!!

I'm just running a powerplant , no airtank and I was timed last week airing up my 35 MTR's from 15 to 30 all in 7 mins
I can't wait to see how it does with an airtank

Just did the test. 13lbs to 32lbs in 5 minutes 24 seconds. I'm likeing this setup even more . In all seriousness I'm very pleased with the compressor so far. I have a small leak somewhere because the system goes from 145lbs to about 40lbs overnight. Time to get the soapy water spray bottle out. It takes the compressor about a minute to fill it back up though --not bad.

To those of you wanting to mount underhood, it can be done. But it took me some time to fab up the bracket. If someone is good with cutting and welding it is a piece of cake. But there are no brackets on the market to mount the dual compressor underhood that I know of.

Every thing looks great. Just wondering if the tank is slowing you down, I get the same numbers with the single ARB compressor and no tank.

Not sure if your times were for all 4 tires or not. Mine take 5 minutes per tire, running 35's.
