Default Finally done w/my onboard air---ARB dual compressor

Just finished it up today. Painted the brackets black and got everything remounted. The system consists of: ARB dual compressor (CMKTA12), ARB locker manifold kit (171503), three ARB switches (compressor, front locker, rear locker----these were included with the compressor and lockers), a 2 gallon ViAir tank, two homemade brackets, and a few push lock fittings and some 3/8" hose. The ARB kit was a breeze to install. Very nice kit and the instructions were great. I wanted the tank out of the elements to keep it from getting beat up and rusting. Shouldn't be a problem under the seat as long as I don't let moisture build up and cause rust. Here are some pics.

I'll try to get a time to go from 15lbs to 30lbs on a 35" tire soon. Maybe tommorow.

Also, I wanted to note. I used yellow teflon (for gas). It's thicker than the white. I'm hopeing it will help cut down on leaks.

Also, notice the red hose under the seat. I put that in to have a place to hook up to air for the passenger side. What's nice about the ViAir tank is it has 6 outlets on it.

Very sanitary installation. I really like the switches using the factory panel.

Thanks. Took some time, but with a good sharp knife and some carefull measuring it's a no-brainer. I had to cut out some of the plastic behind the switches that was part of the dash frame, but it won't hurt it at all. There is plenty of support in there.

Looks like you did great job! I was looking very hard at this compressor a few weeks ago... but went a differant rout. Let us know what you think.

did you make the brackets or did they come w/ the compressor and tank. any problem putting the back seat down w/ the tank tthere? I've been planning on getting the compressor but hadn't given much consideration to a tank. Very nice.

I made the brackets. My guess is the tank would have to come out to fold the seat down.

Is a tank necessary for air lockers? or are the compressors sufficient?
