Default Final Tire Decision: Toyo MT or Cooper STT

After a couple threads started and many hours of looking up reviews and different price, i've decided on two tires. Wheels will be ATX Slots in a 15x8 with 3.75 back spacing. Now i was going to go with km2's for price or the Toyos for the functionality and looks, however i saw the price of the 35x12.5.x15 Cooper STTs and at $208 a tire that is just rediculous. The toyos are 264 a tire which i don't mind spending more for them but i was wondering if anyone has ran the coopers on a DD/weekend warrior, and what they thought about them?

I've heard nothing but good things about Toyos as far as wearing well and balancing with minimal weight. I think it's worth spending a bit more.

I just bought the coopers. My buddy owns a tire shop and he spoke very highly of them, and toyo mts. I had a buddy who had them on a rubi and loved the for the 4k he drove it until he traded it in. I was Leary too but for me my buddies price was WAY to good on the coopers to pass up and the Toyos were back ordered in SoCal

Ive been looking into the Toyo MT's as well, i really like them my other choice was Nitto Terra Graps but ive only heard good reviews about the Toyo's.......The best deal i came across online was 285/75/17 $305 each (shipped).....and the 295/70/17 $275 each (shipped) i still havent pulled the plug yet to order them...

I've never had good luck with tread life on any toyo they do perform well but once they start to wear you better be ready to buy new ones. I have 35" coppers on mine and so far so good but I've only amassed 7000 miles on them so far and they look good but time will tell.

I ran the Cooper stt's 35x1250x17 load range D, Wore evenly, got 30,000m, sold them to a guy for cheap who got another 5-8000m. I now run the Toyo mt's load range E 37x1350x17. At close to 60,000m the now look like my coopers did at 30,000m. The Coopers are a softer compound and chunk like a mofo on rocks. Yeah, they are cheaper, but they won't last as long as the Toyo's. Pay now more for Toyo's or pay sooner with the Coopers when they wear out quicker.
