Default FINAL decision on lift kit, help?! PLEASE

So im now deciding between the teraflex 2.5 in lift with bilstein shocks or the Rancho 3 in trail kit with XL shocks. The kit will run 35's. My question is will I need to change the driveshaft on the 2012 JK sport automatic with 3.2 gears and if anything else will be needed besides regearing which i was thinking 5.13s?

Cheers!

5.13's might be to high a gear for 35's. I use that ratio with my 37's and it is perfect. Personally, I would go the Terraflex route....just my opinion.

You will only need the #261000 exhaust spacers for the TeraFlex kit. My vote would be that you order a TeraFlex kit but I'm kinda bias......

Teraflex all the way! On the gears. Being automatic, 35s will probably be sluggish with that gear. Unless u live somewhere flat.

2 door or 4 door? also, I think I saw somewhere where you could only go up to a certain size with the 3.21 housing... hmmm?? I'll see if I can find that.

You can go to 5:13s but ring gear would be very small. If u do any wheeling wouldn't suggest, very fragile. 4.88s would be plenty for that. Even 4.56s depending on what u do with it.

Run the 35's for a bit then decide on the gears.

I'm running 35's on top of a 4" pro comp susp lift. Very happy with it. Mine is a 2010 with 3.73s but i plan to regear in the future. She can be a bit sluggish on steep hills but other then that i'm good with it as is. I don't do hard off roading (beach/light mudding) and I live in Central texas where it doesn't get EXREMELY hilly but enough to have challenged the stock gears and having me dreaming about some 4.88s

If you have any questions feel free to ask or PM me, if you want I can e-mail you the install instructions for the 3" TRAIL, in regards to driveshafts, this is what our install instructions say:
Replacement drive shafts:
During high articulation events, the front driveshaft may contact exhaust or transmission oil pan. A smaller diameter drive shaft is suggested for optimal performance.

Upper Adjustable control arms, brake lines and adjustable track bar......

Good luck with your choice! And have fun on the trail.

Since this is on a 2012, we offer an exhaust exhaust pipe upgrade as well
