Default Fender Flare leaving wires exposed

Hey Guys, I just put on some XRC smitty built flares on my 2015 wrangler but not sure but am I missing the liners or is it supposed to look like this? You can see all the wires of the passenger side

They don't come with liners, I just trimmed the factory inner ones to fit the xrc flares. If you already cut them out, crawler conceptz has some nice aftermarket aluminum liners.
