Default Fence Mender Brakeline extension

I did this mod this afternoon and appreciate those who have recommended it. One thing I wanted to ask about is that the fence menders are made of a mild steel and I found I could bend them fairly easily (which helps in positioning the brake line away from springs, sway bars and shocks). But this also concerns me in wondering if they can be bent easily under stress. I guess if the extension is done right, there should be any stress other than that exerted by the movement of the brake hose, but just wanted to check.

Another thing I found is that depending on how much inward bend you put on the fence mender, you have to be careful that your brake line doesn't rub on the outside of the frame.

All in all, it is a cheap and easy mod. It gives at least 3 inches of additional brake line movement (another concern with the line drooping down behind the shock?), so it should be pretty effective.

Appreciate any and all insight.
