Wow. I'm a little bit fabergasted that a shop that is doing a re-gear wouldn't advise ahead of time that you would need to reprogram the computer for the new gears......or that they didn't at least push to sell you something in the package. It's frustrating mainly because there are various programmers out there that accomplish the same task, but one minght be better suited to you specifically than others. For them to do a regear and then after the fact just say "oh yeah, you need and AEV ProCal" would irritate me as a customer. I mean, there's no doubt you need one, and there are other benefites to various different programmers besides just programming the gears, but again, they should have told you or mentioned that up front. I don't blame you at all for not knowing, but someone that takes your money should inform their customers.

Yep, I agree! The shop has a really good reputation so I was also baffled and not happy about them telling after the fact! (FYI, I did not pay for the programmer!)

The gears seem to work well.. I just need to get this programing worked out!
