Fast question
Thinking about buying a 17 JKU, wondering if 35's will fit with out a lift if I swap out wheels and tires. Off my old jeep. Just like to know till I'm able to lift it. Within a few days.

Assuming the wheels have the correct backspacing they will physically fit. I would not take it off road, go over a speed bump fast, flex on a curb or put any weight in the rear, because the tires will most likely rub the flares and/or rubi rail/pinch seam, etc.

You don't need a lift to run them. If you want to stay liftless here is what is needed:
1. Correct backspacing rims. Numerically less than 4.5". Spacers that are hubcentric are fine.
2. Trimmed pinch seam. Starting in mid-'13 they are trimmed from the factory. May require more, though.
3. Narrowed front bumper. Either aftermarket stubby or trimmed factory.
4. If you carry a fullsized spare, something more robust than the factory carrier.
5. Trimmed or new, high clearance fenders.

And if u get one with rubicon rails, cut those before you even go to the tire shop. I have 315/75/16 MTRs (true 34" really) and that was the most limiting factor to going up in tire size. Other than that, u will need an AEV procal as well.
