Agreed!

The only other thing I could think of would be some type of security hardware that requires a special shape tool/socket to remove.

Yeah, thought about that... I could just toss that tool into my tool bag, but then I thought, "Well shoot one more item to get lost, have to worry about, etc..." So I am schemin' a way to use a modified wing bolt or something similar.

I have eye bolts to secure mine. Not great for security but won't require any tools to remove.

Just so you know that's a non can carrier. I just used some stainless steel bolts to hold the highlift jack and I also removed the base plate due to rattles.
