Default evo c2 axle gusset question?

I'm looking at getting some c2 gussets too beef up my 44
And I know you have to remove everything including the ball joints to prevent damage from the welding.
My question is since I have alloy usa steel sleeved ball joints could I leave the ball joints in when I weld up the gussets without doing any damage?

I believe you can do heat related damage. I was told to always remove ball joints

You will be fine as long as the welds are done slowly and it small amounts at a time. I had mine put on without balljoint removal, and everything is still fine and tight.

Default im gona replace my factory ones after the welds are done

but I can see your concern if yours are already replaced with better ones / seems most people wet rags and keep them cood during short welds im not sure of the long term success rate of the ball joint but I know factory ones are junk so it wont hurt my feelings to be rid of them

Thanks for your input
I think I'm gonna risk it, the idea of taking them out to put them back in doesn't sound too fun
