no warning lights, no faults, no computer error codes, no snags, no breaks. simple, clean, easy, effective & cheap. my kind of mod.
I did have an intermittant error i thought was associated, but that turned out to be a gas cap that wasnt venting properly, they swapped the dumb thing and no more errors, it had nothing to do with the relocation at all.

protect it keep your warranty
if you have a warranty protect it if you don,t then use woods.

ho yeah and install i did with wife in car ready to get food, took 5 min and gives you a great sence of safety

I just got the river raiders one ... needs a lift for it they said (as I have one)
But you also have a place to put air tank in the skid as well

i on going argument. What about us super lazy people. Plus i planon on board air and like the idea of the river raider. thats pretty sweet. But even with that skid your still kinda relocating it and putting an air tank in its place. hmmmm

Obviously I'm in the "skid" camp. It's highly effective, easy to install, doesn't risk warranty issues or check engine lights. Relocating is way more involved and some of the kits require cutting, drilling into the tub and more permanent mods. A skid is a simple 10 minute bolt-on installation.
Odds are, if you catch your skid on an obstacle, you'll catch your rear axle, so relocating doesn't necessarily solve that issue. The skid plate also provides some additional protection for the rear driveshaft.
