A lot of people relocate theirs which is the much cheaper way or you can buiy the skid plate which is around $100. Both are very effective

I skidded it....$100 for the skid and is on the other side of the driveshaft so helps protect it as it sticks out further than the shaft

I just did the Rockhard relocate kit. Simple and easy to do. It took me maybe 45 minutes to relocate it. I think that is where Chrysler should have put it in the first place. Much better than stock.

I did a Poison Spider skid as well.

- it's up higher than stock
- all hoses are stock - no codes
- might prevent a port side impact to the driveshaft

It's a very stout piece and easy to install. No regrets.

I relocated mine and only spent a whopping $12.00 on some hose and clamps.
But if you have to burn $100 bucks then you should go with the relocation kit.
