my 4door has been flipped back onto all 4 tires and then up a muddy hill with one of these 10ks. I know when I get around to buying one, the engo 10k with synthetic is what I'm going to get

I'm a proud owner of the 12000 lb steel engo winch. I like it so far, with using it twice. Pros and cons for myself this far are as follows:
1. Easy setup and instructions.
2. Need a deep cycle battery, or preferably dual setup, with a better alternator.
3. Last pull I did, the cable got stuck and kinked close to the end. (mainly the guy I was helpings fault, he was helping tighten the line up and wasn't holding the slack tight.)
4. Needs to have a cover from the elements.
Once again for the price and performance I would buy another one hands down over other brands on the market.

Thanks to all for the comments....
I thought the Engo winches came with covers? I thought I read that somewhere.

No, no cover for then yet, but you can put a cover from another manufacturer on it if you want.

i have an engo 10k with sunthetic and its a beast! Iv had it completely submerged, frozen, covered in mu and still no probs! works everytime. I have used it numerous times, not the fastest winch on the block but deffinately will get the job done. I have pulled people sideways out of mud holes without trouble so deffinately recommended by me! heres a pic of it completely frozen and covered and then a pic a jeep that got stuck and i pulled sideways with the jeep in nuetral, all winch!!

Any specific brand, or they all the same?

I can't remember what Chris at Jeepaddons told me. Give him a call (800-388-8637 ext 1884) and see what he think will work.
