element door owners... does anyone know how thick the spacers for the factory mirrors
I finally finished installing my front and rear element doors, bags, enclosures and uppers. i am still waiting on the mirror spacers to be sent to me from the person that sold these to me used. i would like to make some sort of temporary spacer until the real ones get here.
if anyone could help out, it would be great. if not, i will take off the mirrors and do some measuring. i have gotten really used to the big ass mirrors on the jk...
thanks.

These doors? I have a set of mirror spacers that I didn't use because these doors are set up to use TJ mirrors also, they're only about $80 a set aftermarket, and they look much better, and tuck in closer, than using the spacers and jk mirrors. But ill measure them and get back to you this morning.

thanks so much. if the person who sold me the doors flakes out on the window, i will send you a pm for your spacers. do you know what you would want for them?
i have been checking craig's list for tj mirrors. i really don't care what type of mirrors i run as long as they work. i figure givign the stockers a try first is the cheapest way to start out.

4 west in Colton, ca is where I bought my TJ mirrors, or try a wrecking yard?

I found my YJ mirrors for my tube doors on eBay for $49 for the pair shipped (brand new). TJ mirrors were $69 and JK mirrors $89.
I'm thinking about some TJ mirrors with the ditech mirror brackets for riding doorless.

I dropped the ball on getting the spacers to you. I apologize. I have located both of them from my mess of a garage and will have them out to you on Monday. Again, I'm sorry for the delay!

don't worry about it rick, i figured the spacers would find their way to me eventually. i picked up some washers and 4 tubes of 3" by 1" pipe... it should hold me over. let me tell you , these doors have been one hassle after another to set up, but now that they are almost dialed in, they do seem to work really well. i was getting some water leaking through the top of the rear uppers last night, but a little more bending and adjusting and they should be all set.

did you paint your doors to match using factory matched paint, or did you powder coat them? My jeep is black, but the finish on the doors is kind of a semi-gloss. i am debating either paining them factory duplicolor, or bed lining the doors and my wheels.
