Install is easy. A little stressful on the cut, but if it improves reliability and performance off road, i'm all for it. Took me about 45 minutes.

I have the AEV, but i'm not going to beat that dead horse. From the standpoint of an E4 in the USCG(The pay is less than extrordinary), it was worth my money to go the more expensive route. Its a solid snorkel, well built and the instructions could be followed by a monkey.
Yes, the same install instructions work on the Chineese knock offs. I've heard the hardware supplied with the snorkel is crap though.
I'd rather give my money to the people smart enough to come up with badass products, so they can continue to create badass productsClick image for larger version

I have the cheap snorkel for 5 months. Easy instalation. It already saved my engine from deep water. No problem with quality, no crap materials, just survived a brazillian summer (a lot of sun) with no shade!
I would buy it again, for sure!

Default Pulling the trigger...

Thanks guys. Either this week or next after my tune up... Gotta figure out how to either remove my DEATH STAR decals without sunfade/etch lines from 2 years in the Texas sun or incorporate the decal into the snorkel.

I guess knock-off or not, a snorkel is WAY badder than a custom decal

1. Have you had any issues with the snorkel (installation, function, discoloring)?

I have had mine for about 10 months it looks brand new, i love it and the price i got it for 135.00 Best Offer feature And shipped to my Military APO Address!!! installs a breeze once you grab your balls and do the first cut, worked like a champ saved my engine, no discoloring and if it dose i will take it off and bed line it!

2. If you could do things over, would you buy the same snorkel over again?

i would buy it again in a heart beat i can use the saved money else ware on my jeep!!!

3. Please post up pics as well.

Would u mind pm'ing me the vendor that took $135 as best offer? That would make this purchase a no-brainer!

I have the ebay snorkel and I love it. Install was easy, it has held up well, and the plastic is high quality if you ask me. I am more then happy with the snorkel and the money I saved.
