Earlier this month, I bought an Eaton Locker from 4WD.com, and I brought the locker back to my home country, China. Before I made the order, I sent a question email to the 4WD.com to make sure that I am ordering the right locker, in fact, I listed my Jeep's year, mode, gear ratio and the place I want to put on the locker in the email. In the reply email from 4WD.com, they provided me a product link that will fit my Jeep. But now, I found out that the bolts' holes on the locker is 3mm smaller than the holes on the ring gear!! ![eek 2](https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/images/smilies/sSc_eek2.gif)
Here is some infomation regarding my Jeep:
Mode: Sahara
Year: 2008
Gear Ratio: 5.13:1 from Superior Axle & Gear
place to put on the locker: Rear Dana44 axle with 30 spline
Locker: Eaton Locker
Product link: http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.as...91&partID=4671
Please tell me what is going on? Here are some pictures taken during the installation process.
Thanks!!!

This is fairly common situation. The Dana 44 ELocker has holes for 3/8" ring gear bolts. JKs came with 7/16" ring gear bolts in early models and changed to 1/2" bolts later in 2007. You'll need to redrill your ELocker carrier for the proper bolt size. This is very common and is done frequently.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Drilling holes through that thick of steel carrier won't be easy. Are you sure 4WD sent me the right product?

I saw there are many people using the Eaton Lockers on their JK, however, are they all need to redrill the carrier?
By the way, do you have any pictures or any sample cases that done it before?
I might need some instruction.

Everyone that has a Dana 44 in their JK has had to drill the ELocker case. Sorry I don't have instructions but you'll find it very easy with no instruction needed.

From the product web page, it did't said anything about the drilling stuff...
By the way, will my 5.13 gears work with the locker with 3.73 and down numercially gear ratios?
Thanks!

Yes, the 3.73 down case will work with the 5.13 gears. All aftermarket 44 JK gears are the 'thick' design and don't require the 3.92 up case.
