Dynapro MT vs Dynapro A/T
Finally going to buy some tires!
Now the hard part
Hankook dynapro All Terrain in 295 70 17 VS dynapro M/T in 285 70 17 ( on a budget )
Should I go with the bigger all terrain or slightly smaller mud terrain?
How will the muds ride and sound? It is a daily driver for my wife that sees a little offroading.

I do like the aggressive look of the MT's though....

If I recall, the Dynapro MT is a 10 ply tire.... That's pretty much the creme de la creme for bullet proof tires.... If you don't intent on rock crawling and really beating the crap outta your tires, I don't see why you'd opt for the MT other than aesthetic reasons.

Treadwright wardens! 10 ply....I love mine, haven't got to use them a whole lot offroad yet just cause I've been really busy lately, but cant beat the price or the customer service, I've put like 3 thousand miles on mine and they have been great so far, but from all the long term reviews I've read they are great, mine are a little stiff because they are 10 ply but I have them at like 30 psi driving round town and highway but thinking bout lowering a little more.....they are retreads, other than a used sidewall they are practically new tires...

Yep, AT would be the smart choice, just not the sexy choice. I struggled with this (and still do) whether to get the tire that actually makes the most sense or the one that looks the best. It helped that MT's don't do as well in snow/ice so it made my decision to go with an AT a little easy for me. I see more of that than I do mud.

I too have the treadwright wardens (287/17:17) and really like them. Balanced out fine and are wearing good. Good price too, just wish I would have gone bigger.
