duratracs and 18" stock rims
I'm looking for tires that will give me the aggresive look im going for and that will fit my stock rims. I've read other threads talking about tires and im pretty convinced about the durabilty of the GY Duratracs both on and off road but i cant find any that fit my rim online. that doesnt mean that they dont make them right?

you're right didn't look real hard but then again you have to know what you're looking for to real hard.
I'm new to this so trying to learn as i go. I've been in a saturn most my life and a surf board the rest of it. now im in south texas and there is an abundance of mud thought i'd give it a whirl

Can you put that tire on a stock rim? Yes. Should you?
Those stock 18" rims are 7.5" wide.
The first 3 numbers above are what GoodYear recommends for rims widths.
minimum width 9"
maximum width 12"
recommended 9.5"
Some shops will not mount a wide tire on a narrow rim. Check around with your local shops to find one that will.
And then there is the backspace concern. Those tires are taller and wider than stock. Put them on a stock rim with a 6.25" backspace, and you rub all over the place. Get wheel spacers to move the entire wheel/tire out away from the body, and you minimize the risk of rubbing.
There is also the question of lift height. Even with the tires pushed out with spacers, they are big enough to rip a fender off when articulating.

I found the tires...just couldnt find a shop that was willing to sell and mount them on my stock Sahara 18's. They all claimed the rim was too narrow. I finally gave up and got different rims.
