Default Dupli color bed liner questions

So tomorrow I'm going to bedline my stock stubby bumper, rear bumper, and eventually the fender flares i cut (cant decide whether i should go through the hassle of taking them off or not). and i was wondering if i should sand off the texture on all of the plastic and how many coats i should do. Also, my hard top is getting pretty scratched up and figured it would be cool to have the whole thing bed lined, anyone done that? and lastly, i have polished alloy pro comp wheels i was wondering the process if there is one i would need to go through in order to bed line them as well thanks in advance.

Haven't tried it on flares or plastic bumpers. Works great on my metal bumper, rails, and inside the fender wells. Also works great on the inside of my hard top.

Worked good on the outside of the hard top for about a year, then started noticeably fading and flaking a bit. But - spraying it was a last minute decision and I didn't prep, just a rushed scuff with a bit of sandpaper, wipe and spray. Rather than re-doing with bedliner, I might look at something a little smoother/less rough.

Do you think it would be any better if I prepped the hard top better or no?

I recommend rustoluem over duplicolor. I've used both and like the look of the rustoluem much better. Before you commit to all that, spend $12 and get a can of Each and test on a piece of scrap metal or something

I ended up doing it. Doesn't seem super strong but then again paint was very fresh. Came out great looking though. Now to do my flares. Figure taking them off is easiest, anyone know where I can get the clips for cheap,

clipsandfasteners.com.

A20887 $8.92 box of 15
A11146 $2.97 box of 25

And if you think about it, post an update in a month or two. I'd like to see some feedback on how it holds up on the more flexible plastic flares and bumpers.

How many do you plan on breaking when you remove the flares?

I am on my 3rd set of stock flares, and still haven't bothered to count how many of each type of clip is used. The flares seem to rip off fairly easily, so extra boxes aren't a bad thing.
