https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=99457 I think it's the 80 that's dual out.

Gibson dual
I have the dual Gibson, but I looked in it before i put it on to see what causes the cat-back sound to see if I could remove "like a tuned baffle on a bike" didnt see anything I could do but take the whole thing apart.

Gibson Exhaust
I have, or should say had...... the Gibson twin tip exhaust.
Good product, well built, very low rumbly sound, did seem to drone a bit, but I like it. Did increase the midrange performance, didn't notice any milleage change. Screamed real nice down low from just above idle to 2000 RPM, then was just racy from 2000 RPM and above.
However..... I had damaged the tips more than a few times offroading. They hund down just a tad too much, and would hit.
Last weekend I destroyed the muffler along with the OEM tailpipe. I got stuck and had to be winched out backwards. By the time we realized it was too late both twin tip pipes from the muffler back were bent under the jeep and the OEM tail pipe was kinked where it goes over the drive shaft and was pushed towards the front of the jeep.
While I think the Gibson is a great street product for Off road it is just an expensive expenditure waiting to be destroyed.
Perhaps if one shortened the exhaust pipes out of the Gibson Muffler and kept them higher, but even still a accident waiting to happen.
I am now going with a Cherry Bomb mounted infront of the rear axle and then a pipe bent towards the back but kept high and out of harms way. Likely only a $100 fix.
Anyone want a warbled Gibson exhaust ?
