you'll have to use something - or you'll have some wicked bump steer. The bottom line is you have to get your steering geometry to be as close to factory as you can in order for the steering to feel right.

As has been mentioned there are a couple ways to do this - dropping the pitman arm or raising (flipping) the drag link, and finally lowering the trackbar.

In general, the lowered pitman arm is the easiest to install but is also the easiest to break. The drag link flip is a better option in my opinion and I can attest to how well it helps things. I've seen a lowered pitman arm on several people's JKs and it seems to work just fine though. WOL will tell you though he's gone through about 3 of them at least, and they are likely to break if you really wheel - but for a lot of people they work well and have no issues.

Either way you'll need to drop the trackbar mount down, and several lift companies provide a bracket to do this, and this should work just fine for quite awhile in most cases. Until you brace the bracket though and keep its ability to act as a lever to a minimum, you risk breaking it.

Does that clear up any questions you had?

With the TeraFlex kit, no.

No, you need one or the other, not both.
