Getting rid of my CIA...even with a "mud shield" it still gets caked on the trails...tons of dust and worried about water too. Just going back to stock with a drop in. Snorkel in the near future..."ram air"

Ripp.... Shows the gains and I like how it plumbs into a snorkel. To me looks like the tightest for plumbing in terms of water and reports what 10 ft lbs of torque.

I just dropped in a K&N air filter into the stock box today. As far as power gains and MPG goes I cant say much but I will never have to buy a new one since they are reusable. Also it makes the motor sound a little better. So for 55 buck I think its worth it.

went with K&N drop in. been running it for 4 years. clean it when i change oil. no noticiable benefit other than not having to buy new filter each time. after a few changes it pays for itself. cleaning kit is only 10 bucks and lasts for quite a few cleanings. CAIs are simply not cost effective.

Got the K&N CAI not much MPG difference maybe .3 miles to the gallon more, sound and the HP gains worth it in the lethargic 3.8 and add it to an MBRP exhaust you get a nice little extra boost also but if I were to do it all again snorkel and a drop in filter is the way to go.

Had the drop in k&n in my 2007 so when I traded for the 2012 I kept it. In the 2007 was maybe a slight difference but 2012 0% if it didn't hurt it. Thinking about taking it back out to see if it helps.
