Default Driving lights or Fog lights

I want to know what is the difference from driving lights or fog lights? I want to put 6" lights on the front bumper not sure which ones to go with.
Thanks in advanced.

Fog lights cast a wide and close beam of light whereas driving lights project as far or farther than your high beams. Assuming your Jeep already has the factory fog lights, you should add driving lights. They make a BIG difference when driving fast down twisty dirt roads.

Years ago it seemed fog lights were yellow and driving lights white. That is not the case anymore. As said above it's the shape of the beam. Driving lights are skinny and long where as fog lamps shine wide but not far down the road ( or trail ).

I saw the PIAA has a 6" light that has both. Expensive - about $350 for the pair. Anyone have experience with these?

Im thinking of the amber fog lights, I saw them on a tj and they looked nice. I would put them on the bumper.

Those are the 525's. You can't get 520 driving or 520 fog for about half that.

Watch e-bay for PIAA's, the prices vary but there are deals if you look......
