Driveshafts with more lift
Hey guys, I have been reading that with 6" lift, extended driveshafts are required. My question is that I currently am running a Zone 4" lift and was wondering if I put a 2" body lift on it would I have to buy new extended driveshafts? Im thinking I don't have to b/c it is lifting the body and not the suspension, am I wrong?
Thank You

you should be ok... even with 4 inches you probably would want to replace your drive shafts if you go off road a lot.. but you should be ok with adding the body lift . maybe replace atleast the front drive shaft if you have a 4 door auto .

With a manual you can not shift into those gears with any body lift over 1". It has been discussed on here quite a few times. If I remember correctly. The shifter comes in contact even if you notch out the shifter boot.

drive shafts
With 4 inches of lift you really need to keep an eye on your drive line, I have a 2.5 ome LT on a 2 dr auto both the front and rear shafts started to show signs of stress. Keep a close eye on the retainer ring around the shaft going into the end joints, mine showed signs of hitting. Search you'll find lots of posts once you go beyond 2.3-3 inches many things need to be adressed one being drive lines
