Default Driveshaft questions

Is anybody running the driveshafts offered but Teraflex or Rubicon Express? Are they even available yet?

I wanna upgrade, but it's hard to cough up $1400 -$1500 for shafts . I know they're beefy and all, but the other ones(I assume) are a little more light-duty, and therefore cheaper, bt should still be a good upgrade from the factory tim can ones.

Anybody?

I read somewhere that someone on here ordered the Rubicon Express driveshafts and was expecting them to be delivered soon. When I get new driveshafts I will most likely be going with Rubicon Express or JE Reel. I'd like to see some reviews of the Rubicon Express thought.

JE reel offers replacement shafts that use stock flanges, in the 1310 u-joints.

its a plenty strong u-joint and shaft. It'll save you some cash going that route, and theres nothing wrong with the stock flanges

something to think about as well.

Are the 1310 replacement shafts ok if your running 35" + tires and a 3"+ lift? I was planning of getting the 1350's but not if I don't have to. But I'd like to only have to do this once.

From what I've read it shouldnt be a problem. Give Je Reel a call. they are talk it over with you.

They are having issues updating the site. so its really not that helpful at the moment/.

Have JK owners been having problems with the factory driveshafts? i've reac about the various lifts and the ins and outs of the installation and performance, but as yet no word on problems with the stock driveshafts.

I have torn both my front and rear slip yoke boots, and my front shaft hits my tranny in some situations. A new front shaft is definately on my wish list. A new rear would be nice too, but it's a much lower priority.

i dont see why 1350 joint are needed. if the joint is not the weekest link under extream force, something more expensive will go. i could see if you were running 1 ton axles/ trans. proper geometry and set up is what will insure long term use.
