driveshaft/exhaust spacers with AEV 3.5 kit
ok I have a aev 3.5 kit and have the rear all done. I bought the teraflex spacers to put in the exhaust, but I can not get the rear band clamp to loosen. My question is can I install the lift and run it with out the spacers until I have time to cut the clamp off, or install a new drive shaft?
is there a trick to getting that clamp loose? I get get enough room to get enough strength to budge it.

Go online and watch mopar stage three kit install. There is a rivet in the exhaust that has to removed for you to install those. The mopar lift is a terra flex lift. So that is given in video. Sent by paper cup and a string using Jedi mind tricks. It is a YouTube video.

I know about the rivet. That's not the issue. It's the band clamp I can't get to loosen.
Can I run the lift with out moving the exhaust until I can decide what to do?

As long as you don't let the front suspention go to full droop. If the front driveshaft boot touches the hot exhaust & melts it, you cannot replace factory boot. Thus you would have to buy new driveshaft.(assuming you have fact. driveshaft now.)

I have the spacers installed (different brand) bit don't like them because they exhaust hits my evo skids.. Get the driveshaft.. You will be fine as long as you dont offroad it.

Ok so it sounds as if I can finish the lift and run it ok with out the spacers as long as I don't go off road. Then I can purchase the drive shaft at a later date?

Yea, finish your lift. You can get spacers, get a new driveshaft, or go to a muffler place and let them cut and weld the exhaust so it's not an issue. Any one of those works..... Until you do one just don't get crazy off roading.
