Find a lower profile nut and use two of them as a jam nut

i tried that, it held for like 80 miles. Now its loose again.. i got that bfh out and beat on it lol. alwell...

Sounds like it's not tight enough. Best thing is to get a very large pry bar and put down pressure on the joint so it doesn't move when you tighten it. Hitting it with a BFG, will only "press fit" is slightly, but when you start to tighten it up, it'll move again. You need constant downward force on the joint as you tighten the bolt. I had the same problem when I installed my Teraflex, I finally switched to synergy

i used the 13th/16th drill bit they called for.

It's pretty common practice in the bronco world to drill a hole in the middle of the nut just big enough for a cotter pin to go in. Then you would be locked in for sure.

take the nut to ace hardware and get a castle nut in the same thread. Than drill your hole and install the castle nut
