Default Drag link flip and frame notch

Who has done the drag link flip and notched their frame rail? I cant find anything using the search feature. Any pics or links would be appreciated.

Thanks. I did read Ringers build. I guess most think the frame notch is not worth the gain or more would do it?

When you notch the frame and run minimal bumpstop, you are going to need a very short travel shock up front, unless you are running C/O's or do extensive shock tower work. It wasn't something I felt was worth doing in my specific situation (plus it seemed like more of a PITA than I was ready for).

Two reasons Im leaning towards doing the drag link flip. (1) Im sitting at 4" of lift right now and Im not happy with the way it drives on the road. Im thinking the raised roll center is going to help the road manners. (2) Soon as I get a ProRock 44 installed Im thinking of going to the EVO DTD front and rear. For the wheeling I do, I want to keep as much up travel as I can.

how big are your tires? If you have 4" of lift, you probably have adequate bumpstop to flip the draglink and not touch the frame. I run 2.5" bumpstop and mine has never touched.

How much did you cut? Did you cut into the round tube support or just under it like Ringer did?

37 MTR's and no bumps in there yet, still haven't got around to figuring out what I need. I have 1" of space between the drag link and the frame at the point when the tires start to hit the stock cut fenders/liners. That was right side axle bump, not full axle bump.

Under the round tube, 1.25" or so.

Thanks. After measuring it more, under the tube looks like it would be enough. That leaves a little wiggle room for the tire.
