Unless you want to give some advise.

I have already purchased the 2.5" Teraflex coil lift with shock adapters. But before I got to installation I had second thoughts. I think I should have gotten the 3" Teraflex lift kit with front sway bar disconnects. Either way this should be the only lift I do on my rig.

What to do?

My opinion is over 2.5" of lift you need to buy the whole arm kit, and look heavy into driveshafts as well. Many people throw a too large for stock component lift on their Jeep and have questions later. The 3"+ lifts require other modifications for longevity, less headaches and all around good performance. For right now I have 2.5" coil spacers, works perfectly for my Jeep budget right now, and my level of off roading. When I'm ready to step up, I'm buying the whole shebang and doing it "right".

Actual lift is going to vary I'd say. 2.5" lift is probably more, and the 3" lift is probably more. Atleast from what I've seen around here..

It just seems like a more complete kit considering I do not plan another lift after this one.

My opinion - Decide what your goals are with a lift before asking for advice from people who may have completely different uses for their rigs than what you plan...

The two lifts don't offer enough difference in lift to qualify for different types of wheelin in my opinion.

You don't need to buy an entirely different lift for this.
that is good advise... but I am going to say go ahead and get the 3". Reason is that I firmly believe that if you are debating two things like 33s and 35s and you really want the 35s, you should get the 35s. Same applies here. If you have it in your head that you want the 3" you should go ahead and get it. Otherwise you will always wonder if you would like it better. Just my

Just installed the 3" TeraFlex lift this weekend. 17 hours later took the Jeep out to make sure everything was on good and it was awesome. It does cost a lot more but if this is the lift that you want to put on and keep on I would say go for it.

It only is 1/2" of difference so it really isn't noticable which one you go with. Both will clear a 35" tire. If you are looking at the 3" for the shocks, arms, etc.... you could always do these down the road without having to redo anything when initialy installing the suspension so you would still be in the do it right the first time.
