In a nutshell I had done Daniel Trail so many times Locked/Locked I wanted to see if I could do it Open/Open. Well I got stuck and Tried to Throttle over an area well... I kinda got airborne... when I landed all that torque was transferred into the carrier and had no place to go so it went into the housing. So the 44 was toasted... got a new one and welded the tubes.... I will not be doing stupid open/open again... I don't see how people do it... you have to have some serious skill to do hard trails open/open. I personally don't have the patience. So new/used axle has the tubes welded. Recommend doing this to anyone who likes throttle.

You know the crazy part. After I spun them. I locked the diffs and went up the rest of the mountain. Made it back to our campsite put her up on the flatbed and just rode with other people the rest of the weekend.
