Download an angle finder app to your phone. Measure the angle of the transfer case output. And then measure the angle of the pinion flange. Then report back.

The factory CV maxes out at 14° before binding. If we can get some angles then the forums may be able to better advise you.

I'll be doing the Tera high angle at the rear axle there, it's rated to max out at 28°. Keep in mind that the pinion will rotate up a little bit when you hit the gas.

Tom Woods Driveshaft had a booth at Jeep Beach earlier this year and I asked him how I should angle the rzeppa, straight on or split, and he said it really doesn't matter for that joint. I had spent some time positioning it 1.5 degrees down from split. Turns out, according to him, that it was all for naught.

Thats true, the Rzeppa can handle angle well and raising the pinion does little for the TC side. At least when it goes you are all set for a double carden at -2 haha

In a nutshell I had done Daniel Trail so many times Locked/Locked I wanted to see if I could do it Open/Open. Well I got stuck and Tried to Throttle over an area well... I kinda got airborne... when I landed all that torque was transferred into the carrier and had no place to go so it went into the housing. So the 44 was toasted... got a new one and welded the tubes.... I will not be doing stupid open/open again... I don't see how people do it... you have to have some serious skill to do hard trails open/open. I personally don't have the patience.

So new/used axle has the tubes welded. Recommend doing this to anyone who likes throttle.
