Default Do I need to remove my axle for the Artec truss?

I'm looking at installing the Artec truss on my Dana 30and just wondered if I needed to remove my axle. Also if anyone has tips or info on the install. Thanks.

You don't need to but it'll be a heck of a lot easier

Ditto and I would follow the instructions to a T with the slow cooling process and patience with a good welder. You can cause more harm than good if not completed properly.

Done properly, you'd spend more time trying to make it work in the rig than if you just pulled it out.
