I am looking at getting new wheels and tires for my jeep and was told to contact the vendor on here to get a good quote. The problem is its a holiday weekend and no one is at discount tire direct and I have not got a response back. This weekend they are having a sale that would get me a 100 pre-paid visa so the question is should I go ahead and get them now or wait til tuesday to try to get a deal from the vendor?

 

I would Google the tire costs till no end and post up the exact tire and see what others have paid. If you wait threes a chance the vendor on here will shoot you the same deal. Drink a beer and flip a coin.

 

I saved hundreds of dollars over Discount Tire Direct by going with another online vendor, plus got free shipping included.

Bottom line, don't be in a big hurry, there's always better deals if you look.

I saved almost $300 on a set of 5 Nitto's compared to them. And my personal opinion of price matching is this - why didn't they give just me the best price upfront instead of me proving that there are less expensive options?

Guess I'm old school because the guy with the best price should get the deal...

 

From what I understand discount will price match...

 

i used DTD, got a great deal but it took 3 phone conversations and 2 weeks to get lug nuts for 5 tires (instead of none at first, then 4 then another 4 when I only needed 1 more.) It ended up fine in the long run, and now i am happy.

 

Do not forget Discount Tire will also price match from the internet. I price matched my Duratracs with the price on Tirerack, did not pay any shipping, and they bought my stock tires. I got all five 33's for about $1050.

 

Here's why I like Discount, their price includes free rotate and balance, they offer replacement certificates(for a price) I feel worth the price since larger tires are so expensive. and they have many locations so you can go to any Discount and get serviced.

I had to replace a brand new 35 cause I picked up a friggen nail to close to the sidewall to repair - replaced for free and I was in another state!

 

Well I am looking for bfg at in 35x12.5 15 r.

 

thats why I was glad I had the replacement certificate - even with a 35" no questions, put the new tire on and I was on my way.

 

I did find cheaper prices elsewhere but Discount Tire got my business because they matched the price and offered the lifetime rotate and balance nationwide.
