Default diff fluid out breather

Just put on solid cover on front D44. Filled up 2 qt of Royal Purple. First day, accidentally went over 80mph, and it spilled out the breather. A tiny bit came out a few more times, stopped for about 2 weeks. THen today hit 80mph some more spilled out the breather. So I probably have about 1.8 qt now. What is going on?

Is this a cove that raises the fill hole? Also, is this a cover that increases the volume inside the diff?
2 qts, is more than stock amount.

what they said - this is pretty normal and while it is stinky and annoying, it is fine.

So if you overfill your diffs and it comes out the breather, all you have to do is clean it up and you are fine? Or should the fluid be drained and redone? Can overfilling the diffs cause any harm other than it coming out the breather tube and making a mess?

About 1 1/2 quarts is all you should need. Not sure what happens if overfilled

No one really knows how much fluid is too much. My front diff had 15oz over the fill hole, and no leakage or venting. And it was the amount the book said should be in there.
No one knows what effect a non-stock diff cover has on the amount of fluid required, either.
