TEV: What is wrong with Royal Purple gear oil? I just bought a load of it to use when I put my new covers on....

Wayyyyyyyy overkill. You can pound on any after market differential cover for a lifetime and still not need that kind of protection. If you hit something hard enough you may here some disturbing sounds, but I guarantee you that the damage will not be to the diff. Run something like a 37" tire and maybe you'll be hearing your housing bend after some air time.

Really.. I hear everyone loves that stuff.. I use amsoil in my Towboat and truck (now Jeep), and Harley synthetic in my bike.. I hadn't thought of usuing amsoil in the diff's.. Is there a #, or just gear lube?? thanks

OH and I am going with rock rings too.. RED ONES..!!

As Piginajeep said, you will need adjust upper rear control arms to do this and it is needed to be done if you have an aftermarket double cardin u-joint style drive shaft. Click on the link below and see step #64 to see how to do this:

Honestly, I've always wondered that as well but in answer to your question, yes, I would change out your diff fluid at the recommended 15k.
