X2, the 4bt is awesome plus, all the pieces are interchangeable with the dodge ram 6bt

What's the max recommended input torque for a stock dana 44? I tried looking around online and all I could find was around 1930 ft/lbs on some website. Does anyone know at what limit the dealership will stop the warranty?

What were you not impressed about? Obviously it isn't meant for speed like the Hemi, but that's not what I would be converting for.
Its not about speed, its about power..... Lots of hills here, so its really annoying to go uphills without any possibility to override a tractor....

I've got a 4bt in my tj. If it is set up correctly it can be a great jeep. I've spoken to jeff at bruiser and he definately knows his stuff. I love my tj it has tons of torque it puts a smile on my face everytime I drive it. Just do your homework. I had a jk and honestly just hated the 3.8 it was gutless and im at sealevel. I can't imagine in Colorado...

Subscribed! Been wanting to do the 4bt conversion for a long time. Just don't have the cash right now and not sure how many other mods besides the engine I'd need since I'm running the stock d30 in the front and d44 in the rear.

I think the 6bt is too big for the JK without major refabrication.

It seem people are doing the 3.9 4bt or the 2.8CRD. In my area I found a 2.8CRD ( liberty) for 4k with only 100,000 miles. I'm considering this route, don't know how good this motor is tho for the jk. Any body have further input in this motor?? ( 2.8 motor )

That's the motor that's gets put into the export CRD JK's so I'm guessing it will work pretty good. I know that of they don't come out with a CRD JK in the next couple years that is the motor I will be swapping into mine.

I would do it if i had the funds. The 4bt is a great motor. I've seen one of these in a yj at jeff daniels in pa and wish i could get one.
