I have looked at the Mud-Terrain T/A KM2, but since I drive to work daily and Japan has 2 rainy seasons (it can rain for weeks) and those tires are not sipped. I am concerned about them slipping on wet pavement. I like the fact they are skinny and tall. 255/80R17 10" wide and 33.3" tall. Or 285/75R17 11.3" x 33.9"!!
Some have recommended the Duratrac and I may just run them in the 33 size for now and see how it goes. Then increase size some time down the road.
My problem is it is cheaper for me to ship some items from the U.S. than to buy local due to the value of the U.S dollar here. I don't want to ship them here and they not be PERFECT! Japanese 4x4 shops have a HIGH markup cause they pay premium shipping costs and customs... and of course pass that on to the consumer. They are just now looking in to Duratracs here (special order).

I have seen them sitting on the shelf at my friend's shop, but do not remember how much he charges for them. They come from the U.S. I think they are Pacer Flexy Flares Rubber Fender Flare Set
You can probably get them anywhere but as you can see QT has them. About $80 for whole set.
I looked at TigerAuto's page but can't find them listed. I did find these though (http://www.tigerauto.com/parts/produ...oducts_id/1508) looks like >$680 Ouch!!

Thanks for that... just what I was looking for.
Really tempted now for the GT 35" as they are not too heavy a tire.
My Sahara unlimited has 4.10's so the 34+" GTracs should be ok In combo with the AEV 2.5" lift.
Tires are pricey in UK. Have been quoted £340 each if I purchase 5 , but they should last 4 years with my current milage.

Finally got them off the pavement!
I finally got a chance to get some wheeling in. Did not take many pictures, too busy testing out these wheels, but here are a couple.
Oh, and the Duratracs did very well. Quiet on the pavement, performed in mud, rock and loose sand very well.
