I have the 285/70R17 on a 4.5" backspaced rim. Sticks out about 1/2" at most.

Old pic, but I think it will help.

Let me know if you have any questions about the TrailMods Removable Flares. They give you great coverage on the road and then you can take them off for wheeling in about 3 minutes!

Hope you find a good solution!

Don't know if you guys can see these, but here is a link where I have seen a slight modification to the fender to extend them. TIGERAUTO If you click on a picture it will open another window and using the top left buttons you can see all pictures. Pretty sharp looking jeep. I have seen this jeep in person and they don't look half bad.

I just don't want to buy tires and then be dissatisfied wishing I got the 34s.
I'm in the same position. Against highway law here also, but plenty are still running tyres past the fenders, but it would be just my luck I would get done.
Those small extentions look interesting from Tiger auto... how much do they cost ?

I have seen them sitting on the shelf at my friend's shop, but do not remember how much he charges for them. They come from the U.S. I think they are Pacer Flexy Flares Rubber Fender Flare Set
You can probably get them anywhere but as you can see QT has them. About $80 for whole set.

I looked at TigerAuto's page but can't find them listed. I did find these though (http://www.tigerauto.com/parts/produ...oducts_id/1508) looks like >$680 Ouch!!
