Default Decision time on tires, DuraTracs or BFG Mud TA/KM 2's

I'm joining the club this week and I'd like some feedback on 35's for my 13 Rubi two door. It's my only vehicle and I do about 18,000 of driving a year so what everyone's opinion on either one of these DuraTracs 315/70/17 vs BFG's 35 x 12.5 ,

I've only had my duratracs for the last couple weeks but I'm very happy with their on road performance and the light off-roading I've done with them. I was not very impressed in the sand but it could have been me not being used to the tires

I'm pulling the trigger next week myself on new tires. It came down to DuraTrac vs KO2s. As of today, I'm going DuraTrac. Little lighter, more or less the same price, and I like the look. Subscribed to your thread to see what other feedback you get...

Love the Duratracs 315/70/17s. Had them for 5k miles. Great on ride on road and capable OffRoad. (But note... lighter does mean not as beefy a sidewall)

I have 13 K on my Duratracs 315/70/17 and I think they are the quietest big tire out there. On the trail they have preformed great on all surfaces except black swamp muck.Click image for larger version

I had this same question earlier this week. I was between KM2s, KO2s, and the Duratracs. I work at a tire shop and see alot of different opions on all of them.
Mine is also a daily driver with a lot of highway. The feedback I always hear about the KM2s is that for a mud tire they are quiet but not good in rain or snow at all.
I was just about to pull the trigger on the Goodyears when I put the KO2s side by side.
The sidewall is much stronger. I'm suprised but how thin the sidewalls on the Duratracs are compared to most all terrain and mud terrain tires. I had very many side by side.
The spacing of the tread blocks is not much more than the KO2. Very minor difference. The KO2 is a better built tire with a better Warrenty. It is heavier but not as heavy as the Goodyear Kevlars. It looks like a minor improvement over the Original All terrain but in person its much more.
If you can see them all side by side you'll know what you need. Also if you buy from Discount Tire you have the 30 day ride guarantee.
Btw the KO2s ended up being quieter than my Continentals on my Maxima.

If you're going to be driving in snow and not swapping tires by the season, Duratracs are your better choice. Mud tires are shit in snow by comparison to any mud terrain.

I've never had any problems with BFG MT in ANY driving conditions. Get more than enough snow and rain here. Not sure where the bad rap comes from
Oh I forgot. If it's original equipment it must be crap

Now if we talk about the Forterras that came on the Gargoylette's Grand Cherokee...They're crap

Side by side, how did they compare in overall height? Either noticeably taller that the other, assuming they're both the same listed size?
