Deathwobble got me shaking angry
I know this has been discussed to death. I have read so many articles and posts about it that i cant see straight. I had it "fixed" for a long time and now its back. My draglink is bent a bit so I ordered a new synergy along with new bushings for the track bar and bigger bolts to keep them from wallowing in their holes. All should be here by this weekend. Other than parking it in a bad neighborhood and leaving it im at my wits end and really would like to get out of it without having to spend more money. Any more ideas? Is it possible that it was a bent draglink working with the track bar bushings that have 70K miles on them conspiring to ruin my weekend?
Its an 07 rubie with a 2.5 in BB on 35s. I know now that it wasnt the best idea to leave the steering stock but at the time it seemed like a good idea. In retrospect it was about as good of an idea as my marriages. I really appreciate any help you can give me.

Well I'm sure in a minute or two someone is going to say "have you gone thru *******'s guide on dw?" so I might as well save some time and get that out of the way.
Seriously I do feel bad for you; just going thru the steps to fix the weak links in the JK's front end is annoying. My mostly stock 11' JKUR w/ about 17k miles is at the dealership right now having the steering intermediate shaft replaced.
Am I the only one that feels a mostly stock front suspension should stay together for longer than about 12 months? The JK front suspension seems to be a very poor design imho; I personally hope the next generation is an ifs; or the Jeep I have now will probably be the last.
Good luck on fixing your problem; this forum will help you out.

Navin I appreciate it and Ive read about all I can on it and to the best of my knowledge All is well joint wise. ive grabbed and shook and twisted and whacked my head on everything under there a couple times. In my mind it should be one root cause to all the issues. You know for an off road vehicle that is pretty much built to be modded it really does have a glaring weak point in the steering. Would you think the toe out on that passenger tire would be from the drag link being bent and that that could be the root of my lil slice of hell? I really do appreciate it guys.
Rdub: I really dont think ball joints are my prob. I couldnt get any movement out of them last time I checked. I will def go through all that again when I get it on a lift this weekend to swap out those parts.
Edit: was me getting itchy on the submit post.

The toe cannot be set on just 1 tire. It is always both tires. Bending the drag link will not change your toe. Bending the tie rod will, but then it should toe it in as the rod gets shorter due to being bent.

Thats what I was thinking but I have been known to be wrong so I figured I would ask. I was prob so pissed and stressed about it that both wheels were cocked and it just seemed that way. I reset the tow to quarter inch in and will see if it can make it any better till the stuff arrives. I rechecked all the joints and I found the tiniest bit of vertical movement in the drivers side upper ball joint. So it looks like that needs to be replaced as well. Good advice rdub.
