Neither do I, especially cause most torque wrenches are not in perfect calibration anyway.

Two things really, just didn't go into an explanation. One being tourque wrenches being off a few pounds anyway, and the secound being unless he tourqued that bolt seriously over, shouldn't be any damage to the bolt. Sorry, I think stuff in my head and write a short blanket statement sometimes. I do one finger typing too.

Yes, you're right

But, if you say 130lbs to your friend, your friend will put it to 135lbs just to be safer, and his other friend will put it at 140lbs.... you understand?

I read 150lbs on another forum...

Uh, yeah, guess that's possible. If your gonna check torque, you should get a copy of the specs, follow that. But as I said before 5lbs over isn't gonna hurt. I didn't say 5lbs over x 5. In a five guy circle jerk.

I always do ten over just to be sure. My track bars at 135 and the bolt has yet to snap.
