Death Wobble Solution That Worked for Me
Replaced stock steering stabilzer helped 90%. Rotated tires, no change.
Reduced tire pressure from 28 psi to 25 psi. Now back to solid as a rock. No signs of the wobble. I know some say that the steering stabilzer just masks problems, but if you figure that Jeep made the stabilzer a part of their steering system, there must be something to it.
I know I have a tow in problem as I have a slight bow in my tie rod from my last outing, so I need to fix that, and I that will enable me to air up the tires some, but I had develope the problem before it was bent.
I know all situations are different, but I learned the tire pressure thing from a very experienced off roader and gear head, so I thought I would pass it along. Even if there is a problem, airing down some may allow the tires to take up the shock rather that the entire steering system.

well, i am definitely the "some say" crowd and can guarantee you that a steering stabilizer's only purpose is to help absorb steering kick back and help reduce bumpsteer and NOT "fix" a problem like death wobble. i am glad to hear you've been able to prevent death wobble from happening again but whatever was causing it to happen in the first place IS still there.

I fully understand, and that concerns me. That is why I know I need to have my toe adjusted, and I am going to do a wheel balance job, and I may even look at adjustable control arms. My point is that this is a better solution than trying to just avoid the wobble. It is very dangerous.
i am not disagreeing with you, but I wonder how many that do not have a problem really do and don't know it because of a steering stabilizer. I had lots of play in my stock steering stabilizer even before I bent my tie rod. That is the only change from a rock solid drive to having a problem after 19k miles on the current lift and tires.
I have talked to others (non-JK Jeepers) and even a Ford guy who had the wobble and the only thing was the steering stabilizer needed replacement, even on a stock truck with oversized tires.

just out of curiosity, did you thoroughly check your track bar prior to installing a new steering stabilizer?
