I couldn't fit the northridge bolt on the top side of the OEM front track bar on my 2012 or my friends 2011. The bottom bolt fit perfect. The bushings on the OEM track bar are absoultely different sized from the top to the bottom b/c we actually completely removed his track bar and couldn't fit the bolt through the top but it went into the bottom easily. We took one kit and just upgraded the fronts of both our jeeps. So we ended up just replacing our 4 front lower control arm bolts and our 1 lower track bar bolt.

edit: just noticed on northridges page:

*NEW FOR 2011 - 2012 JKs - Includes a 14mm bolt and lock nut to replace the Front Track Bar Frame Side bolt.

My kit didn't have that 14mm bolt which explains why it didn't work... So for the 2011 and 2012 the top bushing is 14mm and the bottom is 9/16

just a little perspective.
on my 08 I had 2" RE lift and 33" MT's. wheeled fairly hard. no DW ever up to 40000 miles. decided to throw on a set of oversize road tires 32" to make a long road trip easier. bought used tires had them balanced on my rims. immediately got death wobble 6 times hitting train tracks or road bumps! freaked out! took off the tires went back to my MT's never had a problem since. checked over the used road tires and found that each one had different wear patterns and one was an unused spare, the other 3 had various amounts of wear, one almost bald on inside edge of tread.

just some more food for thought

wanted to add that I have read that upper adjustable control arms shorten the wheel base which was already shortened by the lift. adjustable lowers will lengthen the wheel base which will help it go back to original length.

im a little disappointed in this kit...theres no instructions, not even a LIST of where all these
bolts go. ive got 'em in the track bar & lower control arms (front).

but where the hell else do all these bolts go ?

the northridge site lists the NUMBER of bolts but theres no list of what bolts should be replaced or where they should go.

does someone have a position list or diagram ??

The 4 3 inch bolts go in the front and rear trackbars. Torque to 125ft lbs.

The 4 inch bolts go in the axle side mounts of the lower control arms.

My death wobble was fixed so far by a new steering stabilizer. My stock one was empty and could be pushed with my finger tips. I even drove it without the stabilizer and the same reaction as when the OEM one was installed. Put a Rough Country 2.2 With Relocation Bracket on yesterday! But I still want to do that grade 8 hardware kit.

ok that helps, cause i wasnt aware that ANY of this hardware was for the REAR suspension.

but that still only accounts for 12 bolts...
the kit i recv'd has 14 bolts and NONE fit the (front) upper control arms.

ive learned more from the ******* description than the north ridge site or product recv'd.
I got to say its a bit frustrating if not ridiculous not to include a description or instructions !

that youtube does not show where 12 bolts go...
i figured it out & im still not pleased !

I called north ridge - they claim there should have been directions, i asked for 'em to get a copy and although he claimed to be reading them - he couldnt tell me where the 14mm bolts went.

the guy at NR 1st claimed that silver 14mm's went up front, then he said one in the front and one in the rear...but couldnt tell me what side the "silver" 14mm went on....

as it is, i found that the gold 9/16s fit better in the rear track bar (the 14mm's had some slop in 'em).

unfortunately ive got one of the 9/16s in the track bar frame mount, im told that one should be a silver 14mm...well now i cant get the 9/16s bolt out...so im stuck w/ it the way it is.

from what i can tell the 9/16s fit tighter in the sleeve anyway (probably why i cant get it out), theres no slop in it, thats for sure. even on the passenger side (track bar) mount the 9/16 bolt fit better.

the entire experiance would have gone a lot better if there were some directions ! Id be interested in hearing from anyone else that has recv'd this kit and if they saw any directions or not.

I'll be checking w/ another friend who bought the same kit (hasnt installed it yet).

Im pretty sure that the 14mm bolts are only for the upper trackbar mounts on the 2012 Jk's. Thats what I remember anyways. All the other years use the 9/16th bolts. There was a add on the billboard for $115 bucks a guy was selling a bolt kit he made and he posted. Excell sheet he made with very detailed locations of what goes where. That thread is where i think i saw the 2012 comment about the upper trackbar mounts being a solid 14mm.
