Congratulations! I know how frustrating a death wobble can be. I recently had a death wobble. Fortunately, I live very close to Off Road Evolution who diagnosed the death wobble and discovered that the trackbar axle mount was ripping away from my front axle. They installed a new EVO drag link flip kit and pitman arm. They also did a needed tire balance, rotation and alignment and retorqued the suspension.

I am very happy to say that they fixed my death wobble and my JK has never driven better! My guess is that the drag link flip which raised the trackbar mounting 3" and restored my steering geometry close to factory design was the most significant step that fixed the problem.

Lucky you live so close to such a well known name and experts on jeeps. Interesting about the drag link flip kit, will have to look into that.
I've gotta say that once all my work was complete the steering and handling seemed much stiffer and now I feel a lot more bumps in the steering than previously. Not complaining about it - just wasn't used to it and it kinda made me nervous initially. Guess I didn't know what a tight steering/suspension felt like

My story should win first place. After a year since selling the TJ, I wanted another Jeep so found a slightly used 07 and dirt cheap, low miles, the guy wanted out of his loan. So I test drove it but it was pouring rain. No probs. Yea, right. I went and paid him off and my wife is following me home. Get on the freeway and the front starts shaking bad and I thought it was going to fall off. My wife gets this look on her face :( So my son goes, I thinks it's called Death Wobble! Gee thanks. Anyway, it took me about a week, I knew the OEM Goodyears were crap but I looked at the front end and the steeing damper was leaking. I was stunned that this thing was only as big around as my pinky. I think the rain allowed the front to wiggle without setting up the vibration. Decided to go to the dealer and got an OEM for about $70. New one was the same part number but at least twice as big around as the original. Fixed, no more shakes. Did put on new tires with alignment but no problems since. Now I see that Bilstein and Fox make a damper but cost a lot more than $70. Anyway, just wanted to put in my 2 cents.
