Default Death wobble?

Hey guys,

I recently had my jeep at the dealer, and one thing led to another and they ended up installing my 2.5 TF BB w/ shocks for me. I got it back today and everything was great on the ride home but once i got back in the truck something very bad began to happen. First off, the steering was tweaking out pretty badly and is not turning correctly. Secondly, at random intervals when i try and use the brakes the jeep violently turns the wheels back and forth, to the point where i cant even keep it on the road, now i know what death wobble means! I'm at my wits end at this point, im having it towed to the dealer tommorow because I have no other way to recoup my losses otherwise. Does anyone have any idea what they might have done to cause this?

Thanks,
Vince

Did your dealer have the sense to do an alignment after installing the lift?

check the torque values on the control arms and the trac bar, check the alignment, and check the balance on the tires... even if they're the stock tires, maybe they hit a pothole on a test drive and ran em outa balance... the majority of my death wobble issues turned out to be tire balance

Thats probably my next step. Im 100% sure theyve messed something up in the steering since the steering wheel is way off. and yeah i did pay for an alignment, whether or not they did it on the other hand...

If your steering wheel isn't centered whlie you're traveling straight down the road you may be feeling the effects of a ticked off ESP. Are you getting any error lights on your dash?

My esp is completly turned off, has been since i first got it. I'm guessing its something in the trac bar not torqued corretly or something. When i brake the wheel violently bucks back and forth, I had to pull the e brake to get it stop at one point while i was getting it home

Everyonce in a while my ESP light comes on, and I only notice it coming on because of the different sterring patterns with my wheel. Sometimes it stays on for like 5 seconds and goes away. Maybe this could be the problem and you just didnt realize it.

Meh, If its ESP i will be extremly surprised. I turned my ESP off with the code provided the 2nd day i had it and it has been off since. Its also such a violent problem that there is honestly no way the esp could cause it, even if it was on. Its back at the dealer now tho, so i guess ill know soon.
