Daystar tailgate bumpstops are a joke
Tried installing them this morning and I couldn't get them screwed in all the way, so I used a small amount of force while turning them and then the damn thing rips in half. Would be better if they simply popped in like stock the ones. Waste of $25.

I had the same problem, but was able to take my time, well at least able to walk away from it 4-5 times and only managed to rip one partially. By then, I knew I would have to rip it I half to even consider taking them back.

The daystars have bad reviews all over the net. I extended my oem bump stops with some rubber pipe couplers over a year ago... No problems

Ha. Yup. I too was bamboozled. Wasted my money on them a long time ago. Lesson learned. I run the Teraflex hinge and carrier now with extended stock bumpstops. No issues

Someone on here put golf balls on the outer rim of the bumpstops and it looked like it worked well. Quick fix for sure. Luckily my stock stops worked on my 285/75's.
