Default Daystar "Hood Wrangler" replacement hood latches...

I was looking around the web and found these. I ordered them from Quadratec already for $24.99, but they are backordered right now. They are poly hood latches that replace the rubber part of the hood latch:

Item Number: KJ09145BK
Stop the Flutter!

The factory hood latches on the Jeep Wrangler JK allow an alarming amount of hood movement even at moderate speeds. Daystar Hood Wranglers upgrade the soft rubber on the factory latches with a heavy-duty polyurethane material that holds the hood securely in place.

Installation is simple and maintains the factory look. No more shakes, no more flutter, and better peace of mind!

Fits:

2007-Current - Wrangler JK

Cool! Thanks for the info.....Daystar is in Phoenix, AZ. maybe I can head over there and see if they have any "samples".
If no samples I'll have them direct me to the closest retailer who has them in stock!
Wish me luck!
They also have....New rear tire carrier spacers, for bigger tires, I'll have to look at these too!

Yea I'd like to know if these actually stop the hood flutter myself. My wife won't stop talking about how it scares her everytime she drives the jeep.

I just ordered these myself. Now if I could only find a way to lock the latches, I'd be a happy Jeeper. I hate the idea of having to pull my grill off, to add a hood lock, that would only encourage more vandalism to the car. I also hate the idea of carrying around another key! I hate carrying around extra things in my pockets.

The idea sounds good, but dang Daystar are you THAT proud of your logo?

I just bought the lower center console by Daystar and that logo takes up half the panel! Luckily at the angle it sits and with switches in place it is not really noticeable. I'm surprised they didn't stamp each of their poly body lift spacers with that thing too!
