Default Daystar Hood ties

So, I was checking my oil and noticed this. Don't know why I did not notice it before. This is some bad dry rot! Perhaps it just gave way. But these are the Daystar products and it appears they have a 3 year shelf life in Texas. Wasn't sure if this was happening to anyone with stock ties. My old YJ was spring based so this on a non issue. Anyway, this is more of a FYI so no one gets surprised while driving.

I changed mine out to the rampage, the have key locks built into them also. Only issue on install was being spooked by how tight they are. Tweaked them and have had an issue yet (5 months)

Rugged Ridge latches FTW. Love mine. Sorry to hear about the Daystars. Those Rampage latches look good also.
